They grew of wormwood and all that they touched became bitter. With skin like grayed paper and the feel of the dead side of this world always a cold thing in their touch. From poison roots a colorless fiend was grown and his madness the Sun was made to bare witness to. And from the black waters of Shachath Downs those darkened pools gave birth to his sister. To her was bestoyed all the knowledge of the sensual world, every practice, every desire and need. And to this knowledge she brought her bitterness and the ability to corrupt it, to see it darkened by as little as the sight of it in her eyes or the breath that passes through her cracked lips. The wormwood turned the water bitter and in this all the plants meant to poison thrived. And from these things Lux was nutured.
